Currently the Senior Pastor of Union Church of Los Angeles in Little Tokyo, Tim also serves as a Board member of the Union Rescue Mission. Tim was the Director of College Ministries at Bel Air Presyterian Church; and has led worship along with serving in college & young adult ministries at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church before becoming their Missions Pastor. He has participated in mission trips to Thailand, Armenia, South Africa, Malawi, Egypt, as well as Tecate, and Mexico City.
Holding an MDiv from Fuller Seminary, Tim is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry and has received training in Missional Leadership through the seminary’s Micah Group initiative and is an Apprentice Group Leader. He has previously participated in a two-year spiritual direction program called The Journey from the Leadership Institute and “believes God wants to speak to us through Scripture, silence, fasting (in its various forms) and building relationships with the poor. Seeing people connect to God and connect to the city is one of the most meaningful experiences that God allows us to be part of each week.”
Tim plays and writes music, loves trying new foods, and will never turn down a game of Settlers of Catan.
